Salted pretzels is made from dough, and it feels like baked bread. There are soft pretzels and the hard-baked variety. The soft pretzel has a short shelf life and has to be eaten almost immediately after being prepared while the hard-baked pretzels can last longer. Pretzels are always made into twisted knot. I take that back, not always, but the standard pretzel is shaped into what I’d call pretzel loop. It takes on a distinctive nonsymmetrical shape. But in more recent times, Pretzels have been made to take on several shapes and forms. Pretzel is usually salted to give it its unique taste. Other ingredients used in making salted pretzels include various cheeses, sugars, chocolate, glazes, seeds, and sometimes nuts.
